The Gebze facility is Bodycote's new greenfield investment in Turkey. It is situated in the middle of the fast growing Gebze Organize Sanayi Bölgesi (Gebze Organized Industrial Zone), close to the main highways and the new road bridge connecting Kocaeli Bay and Bursa. Recently, the region has become a centre of interest for many automotive and industrial manufacturers such as Ford, Toyota, Hyundai and Honda, due to its fast infrastructure development and advanced technology park. The Gebze plant also has good access to other important industrial zones including Kocaeli, Düzce, Adapazarı and Eskişehir.

With its modern equipment, the plant is able to fulfill even the most specific and complex heat treatment needs of the automotive industry, as well as requests from other industry sectors such as aerospace & defence and agriculture. Further, it is accredited by major aerospace companies.

Additionally, Bodycote operates two other heat treatment facilities in Turkey, having well equipped plants in Bursa and Izmir. All are accredited to ISO 9001, AS 9100, TS 16949 and comply to CQI-9, among other qualifications.

Bodycote’s Turkish Facilities offer vacuum hardening, vacuum brazing, nitriding,nitrocarburising, carbonitriding, carburising, normalising, annealing, hardening and tempering, and stress relieving. Within the new Gebze facility, Bodycote has additionally invested in its proprietary Corr-I-Dur® process which improves corrosion resistance and wear properties.
